Brilliant race today and with some real competion that I can feel is going to make the standard of riding in SA much higher!
A huge improvement on my last provicial at Kersney!

I was moved up to batch B and had to race against some tough competion including Ashley Parker Moffat the African XC Junior Champ & Savanah Schuit the SA XC Youth Champ, even though I was the youngest girl in the batch I was able to stick on Savanahs wheel for the first two laps but I made a stupid chose of trying to lead too earlly on the third lap but I couldn't maintain it (after missing three laps of being able to drink because I droped my bottle on the course on the first lap and had no one in the feed zone) I have deffintely learnt from my mistake and I am looking forward to my next race!

Thanks to 32 Gi I was refreshed and feeling strong! & to all the support on the track today!

 This was the start of a new way of racing for me, still XC but everyone is put into batches and riding for different amounts of time + 1 lap. 

MY BIKE WAS SPARKLING THANKS TO THE #1 BIKE WASH POWASOL!

I was in "C" batch meaning I rode for 60mins + 1 lap. I was feeling really good at the start line & had a brilliant start, within the first km of the race I had a big crash, I landed in a pile of brambles, after a quick sumersolt with my saddle hitting me on the back of my head.

I can honestly say I dont remember much of the race (slightly concused) but the adrenaline must have kicked in & I was able to finish, but deffinetly not with the result I was hoping for & a few roasties aswell! 

Even though I was placed 1st in the batch (women) I was deffinetly not at my normal standard of racing!

This was a very exciting weekend, a trip to one of my favourite provinces (Eastern Cape), an awesome course & of course a win at the race on my birthday!

The track was a load of fun, it had a lot of climing, single track and my favourite part was a steep rock garden.
I felt realy strong the whole way and was able to stay with the boys most of the way and won the race.

I am very happy with my race and Team Jeep had execelent results to take home!
